Kayak excursions are offered, following in the steps of the Chonos, the native people who would travel the archipelago in search of sustenance and shelter aboard their canoes, called dalcas.
The kayak leaves from the marina and heads east, passing the entrance to Jéchica and entering the island’s Southern Estuary, before eventually returning to the starting point.
This excursion is designed for experienced rowers and consists in two parts: 4 hours of navigation by kayak and 1.5 hours of trekking.
You navigate along the island’s coastline to Skorpios Beach before beginning the trip back through woods and peat bogs.
From the marina the kayak heads south to visit the well-protected Chulle Estuary before returning. A variety of dolphins can be seen as the kayak makes its way back to the marina.
